The RUUD R951V0603A17M4SCAP is a single-stage, multi-position residential gas furnace rated at 95% AFUE and 60,000 BTU/h output. It uses an ECM variable-speed blower motor to deliver consistent airflow, tighter humidity control, and reduced operating noise compared to fixed-speed units. The furnace runs on natural gas and is EcoNet enabled with built-in Bluetooth connectivity, allowing contractors to commission, monitor, and troubleshoot the unit using the Ruud Contractor App without DIP switch configuration. Ignition is handled by a Direct Spark Ignition system. A patented block drain sensor automatically shuts down the furnace and triggers a diagnostic code when the condensate drain is obstructed. This unit carries ENERGY STAR certification. Licensed HVAC technicians install and service this equipment.
The R951V0603A17M4SCAP is designed for multi-position installation, making it suitable for upflow, downflow, and horizontal applications in residential forced-air systems. At 3 nominal tons of airflow capacity and 17 inches wide, it fits standard residential equipment spaces. The ECM variable-speed motor supports year-round comfort and integrates with EcoNet-compatible thermostats and controls for remote monitoring and system alerts. The Series M1 designation places it within the Endeavor Line Achiever Series product family.
Designed as an OEM multi-position residential gas furnace for forced-air heating systems. EcoNet integration is compatible with EcoNet-enabled thermostats and the Ruud Contractor App. Refer to the installation manual for specific air handler, coil, and thermostat compatibility requirements.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before any service or installation work. Condensate drain connections and venting must comply with applicable codes, including Category IV vent material requirements for 95% AFUE appliances. Commission the unit via the Ruud Contractor App over Bluetooth to complete setup without DIP switch adjustment.
