The RUUD 47-100571-05 is a low ambient refrigerant pressure limit control designed for use in refrigerant systems where compressor protection against low-pressure conditions is required. It features a 36-inch capillary tube and a 1/4-inch female SAE connection. The control operates on 24, 120, or 230 VAC with a full load amperage of 5.8 or 2.9 A FLA depending on voltage, and carries a maximum working pressure rating of 5000 psi. Auto-reset functionality returns the control to normal operation once pressure conditions recover without manual intervention. Licensed HVAC technicians install this control as part of refrigerant circuit protection and low-ambient operation packages.
This pressure limit control is suited for residential and light commercial refrigerant systems including air conditioners and heat pumps. It is compatible with R-22 and R-410A refrigerants, making it applicable across a wide range of existing and current-generation equipment. The 36-inch capillary tube provides enough reach for flexible mounting in tight equipment cabinets. Pilot duty ratings of 375 VA at lower voltages and 125 VA at higher voltages accommodate a range of control circuit loads typical in split-system and packaged HVAC equipment.
Compatible with R-22 and R-410A refrigerant systems including air conditioners and heat pumps. Designed as an OEM-style low ambient pressure limit control for RUUD equipment using standard 1/4-inch female SAE refrigerant connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable refrigerant handling regulations and local mechanical codes. Recover and isolate refrigerant from the system before disconnecting or installing any pressure control component. Verify the capillary tube is routed without sharp bends or kinks that could affect sensing accuracy. Confirm all electrical connections are de-energized before wiring the control into the low-voltage circuit.
