The RUST-OLEUM AS5468402 is a single-component, anti-slip epoxy floor coating designed to protect pedestrian-grade concrete and metal surfaces in moderate industrial environments. Part of the AS5400 System, this coating lays down a coarse textured finish at 20 mil dry film thickness (DFT), delivering a coefficient of friction of 1.17 dry and 1.00 wet. The result is aggressive traction underfoot without requiring a two-part mixing process. Supplied in a 1-gallon container in Tile Red with a gloss finish, this product is suited for application by licensed coating contractors and facilities maintenance crews working to meet slip-resistance requirements on active work floors.
This coating is formulated for interior and exterior use on concrete or metal floors, stairs, entranceways, and similar pedestrian-traffic surfaces in moderate industrial settings. It accepts heavy foot traffic in as little as 24 hours after application. The coating can be resealed for areas exposed to mild chemicals, occasional steam, and chemical cleaning operations. It meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities, making it a viable option for food processing and distribution facilities.
Designed for application on concrete and metal floors, stairs, and entranceways in interior and exterior moderate industrial environments as part of the AS5400 System Anti-Slip One-Step Epoxy product line.
Application should be performed by qualified coating contractors or experienced facilities maintenance personnel. Thoroughly mix contents using a mechanical mixer before application, and apply with a phenolic core roller for best results. Allow the coated surface to cure fully before reopening to traffic, and ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and properly prepared prior to coating. Follow applicable local safety codes and the manufacturer safety data sheet during mixing and application.
