The RUST-OLEUM 9825419 is a two-component, direct-to-metal (DTM) urethane mastic coating formulated for industrial corrosion protection. It delivers a high-gloss, Safety Blue finish in a high-solids, high-build formula that resists sagging and holds color in aggressive service environments. This 1-gallon base unit requires a separately ordered activator and is designed for use on tanks, towers, structural steel, and metal equipment operating in moderate to severe industrial conditions. Industrial painters and maintenance professionals apply this coating where long-term rust resistance and appearance retention are required.
This coating is suited for moderate to severe industrial environments where direct-to-metal application is needed without a separate primer coat. It is self-priming, allowing single-coat coverage in many applications, though optimal results are achieved when preceded by RUST-OLEUM HS9300 System Epoxy Primer in red or gray. Typical install scenarios include refineries, food processing facilities, water treatment infrastructure, and heavy manufacturing plants. The product meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities.
Designed as a direct-to-metal coating for tanks, towers, and metal equipment in moderate to severe industrial settings. For best results, apply over RUST-OLEUM HS9300 System Epoxy Primer. Available in gallon and five-gallon sizes.
Application should be performed by trained industrial painters or maintenance professionals familiar with two-component coating systems. Mix base and activator thoroughly per manufacturer instructions and observe pot-life limits before application. Surface preparation per SSPC standards is recommended prior to coating. Ensure adequate ventilation and appropriate respiratory protection when applying in enclosed or confined spaces.
