The RUST-OLEUM 9192300 is a high-performance, two-component DTM (direct-to-metal) epoxy mastic coating supplied in a 5-gallon container in white gloss finish. Formulated as a self-priming system, it bonds directly to metal and a variety of other substrates without a separate primer coat. A single application delivers corrosion, solvent, chemical, abrasion, and impact resistance equal to multiple coats of conventional epoxy. The 1:1 mixing ratio requires no separate measuring equipment. Coating professionals, industrial painters, and maintenance crews use this product in facilities where long-term surface protection and chemical resistance are required. VOC content is below 340 grams per liter.
This coating is suited for industrial and commercial maintenance painting on steel, concrete, and other compatible substrates. It is appropriate for floor-coating applications, structural steel, equipment housings, and secondary containment surfaces. Four activator options are available separately: Standard Activator for air and surface temperatures of 50 to 100 degrees F, Immersion Activator for fresh or salt water immersion of steel or concrete where water temperatures do not exceed 125 degrees F, Low-Temperature Activator for air and surface temperatures of 40 to 60 degrees F, and Fast-Cure Activator with a recoat window of 4 hours at 70 degrees F and 50 percent relative humidity. The product meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities.
Designed as a direct-to-metal epoxy mastic for use on steel, concrete, and a variety of other substrates in industrial and commercial maintenance coating applications. Activators are sold separately and must be matched to the specific application and temperature conditions of the job site.
Application should be performed by qualified industrial or commercial painters familiar with two-component epoxy systems. Surface preparation is critical — remove loose paint, rust, oil, and contaminants before applying. Always select the appropriate activator for the current air and surface temperature range, and verify the immersion activator is not used in potable water tanks. Follow all applicable local VOC regulations and ventilation requirements when applying in enclosed spaces.
