The RUST-OLEUM 9125402 is a two-component, direct-to-metal (DTM) epoxy mastic coating in Safety Blue gloss finish, sold in a 1-gallon container. Formulated under the 9100 System, it self-primes and adheres to a wide range of substrates without a separate primer coat. One coat delivers protection comparable to multiple coats of conventional epoxy, providing superior long-term resistance to solvents, chemicals, abrasion, and impact. The convenient 1:1 mixing ratio eliminates measuring. Licensed contractors and industrial maintenance painters apply this product in commercial, industrial, and food-processing environments where corrosion protection and chemical resistance are critical requirements.
This coating is suited for ferrous metal, concrete, and other substrates in both interior and exterior applications. It meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities. It is well-suited for floor-coating applications and structural steel in industrial facilities. Multiple activator options allow the same base product to be used across a range of temperature conditions and immersion scenarios, including fresh or salt water immersion of steel or concrete where water temperatures do not exceed 125 degrees F. The activator must be ordered separately.
Designed for use with the Rust-Oleum 9100 System DTM Epoxy Mastic line, requiring a compatible 9100 System activator ordered separately. Suitable for steel, concrete, and similar substrates in industrial maintenance and food-processing facility applications.
Application should be performed by qualified industrial painters or maintenance professionals familiar with two-component epoxy systems. Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free of oils, loose rust, and contaminants before mixing components. Mix only what can be applied within the pot life of the product, and do not thin or alter the ratio beyond the manufacturer specifications. Follow all applicable local safety regulations and ventilation requirements when applying solvent-containing coatings in enclosed spaces.
