The RUST-OLEUM 9115402 is a high-performance, two-component DTM Epoxy Mastic coating in a 1-gallon container, finished in aluminum gloss. Formulated for direct-to-metal application, this coating eliminates the need for a separate primer by adhering directly to a variety of substrates in a single coat. It delivers superior long-term resistance to solvents, chemicals, abrasion, and impact. The convenient 1:1 mixing ratio requires no measuring equipment. It meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities. Professionals apply this coating in industrial, commercial, and heavy-duty maintenance environments where maximum corrosion protection is required.
This coating is suited for use on metal structures, equipment, and concrete surfaces in industrial and commercial settings. It is commonly applied in floor-coating applications and on steel or concrete structures exposed to harsh chemical or environmental conditions. Multiple activator options allow the same base product to be used across a range of temperature conditions and exposure types, including fresh and salt water immersion applications. The base color and activator are ordered separately. Available in gallon and five-gallon container sizes.
Designed for use with RUST-OLEUM 9100 System activators including Standard, Immersion, Low-Temperature, and Fast-Cure options, sold separately. Suitable for application over metal and concrete substrates. Immersion Activator variant is rated for fresh or salt water immersion of steel or concrete where water temperatures do not exceed 125 degrees F; not for use in potable water tanks.
Application should be performed by qualified painting or coating professionals familiar with two-component epoxy systems. Surface preparation is critical — remove loose rust, mill scale, grease, and contaminants before application. Ensure air and surface temperatures fall within the range specified for the selected activator before mixing. Once mixed, use the product within the pot life window; do not apply mixed material that has exceeded its working time.
