The RUST-OLEUM 9102402 is the Immersion Activator component for the 9100 System DTM Epoxy Mastic, a two-component, direct-to-metal coating designed for tough protective applications. This activator is formulated specifically for fresh or saltwater immersion service on steel and concrete substrates, functioning in water temperatures up to 125 degrees F. It pairs with the 9100 System base coat at a 1:1 mixing ratio, eliminating the need for separate measuring. The cured system delivers superior long-term resistance to solvents, chemicals, abrasion, and impact. Licensed contractors and industrial coatings applicators are the primary installers of this system.
This activator is suited for immersion environments including tanks, sumps, secondary containment areas, and floor-coating applications where standing water contact is expected. It is appropriate for both steel and concrete substrates in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Note that this activator produces a slightly lower gloss finish compared to the standard activator and is not approved for use in potable water tanks. The 9100 System also meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities.
Designed for use as the immersion activator component with the RUST-OLEUM 9100 System DTM Epoxy Mastic base coat. This is a two-component system; the base color and activator must be ordered separately. Not for use in potable water tanks.
This product is a two-component epoxy system and should be applied by qualified coatings applicators or industrial maintenance professionals. Before application, power down any electrical equipment in the work area and ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and properly prepared per coating system requirements. Mix components at the specified 1:1 ratio immediately before application and use within the pot life window. Follow applicable local regulations and safety data sheet guidance for ventilation and personal protective equipment when handling solvent-borne coatings.
