Product Description

The RUST-OLEUM 903 is a water-based, 100% clear wood preservative formulated for exterior above-ground applications on both untreated and pressure-treated wood surfaces. It protects against rot and decay by inhibiting mold, mildew, and other fungal growth. The formula is EPA registered and repels water to resist moisture-related damage including warping, swelling, shrinking, and end-checking. An anti-wicking property resists moisture absorption through end cuts. Coverage runs approximately 250 to 300 square feet per gallon. Licensed contractors and finish carpenters working on exterior millwork, decking, and structural wood members are the primary installers.

The 903 is suited for residential and light commercial exterior wood surfaces exposed to weather and moisture. Typical applications include deck framing, fence posts, window and door trim, siding, and other above-ground wood components. Because the formula is paintable and stainable, it integrates into standard finishing workflows without requiring a separate primer or sealer step.
