The RUST-OLEUM 6010408 is a water-based, two-component epoxy floor coating in the Concrete Saver 6000 System line. It cures to a high-gloss, clear finish and is formulated to protect concrete floors against heavy foot traffic, handcart use, forklift operation, and lightweight rubber-wheeled equipment. The coating can withstand occasional exposure to steam, hot water, high humidity, and mild chemicals, making it well suited for moderate industrial environments. Licensed flooring contractors and maintenance professionals typically specify this product where solvent-based epoxy performance is required but low-flammability and soap-and-water cleanup are preferred.
This coating is intended for interior concrete floor surfaces in moderate industrial, commercial, and institutional settings. Typical applications include warehouse floors, shop floors, and production areas that see regular foot and light equipment traffic. The extended pot life gives applicators additional working time compared to standard two-component epoxies, which is useful on larger floor areas. It is sold as a 1-gallon unit of the clear gloss base coat. The activator component is ordered separately. The finished coating is compatible with decorative vinyl chips and can be used with 200 Anti-Skid Floor Coating Additive for traction on slippery surfaces.
Designed for use with the Rust-Oleum Concrete Saver 6000 System; requires a separately ordered activator component. Compatible with Rust-Oleum Decorative Vinyl Chips and 200 Anti-Skid Floor Coating Additive.
Surface preparation is critical for epoxy adhesion — concrete must be clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, curing compounds, and existing coatings before application. Power down or isolate any floor-level electrical equipment in the work area prior to coating. Mix the base and activator components fully and apply within the product pot life window; do not apply to surfaces that are below the minimum application temperature or where moisture vapor transmission is a known issue. Allow full cure before returning the floor to service with wheeled equipment loads.
