The RUST-OLEUM 353640 is a water-based, ready-to-use grout coat formulated for polished concrete floor systems. It permanently fills small cracks, voids, and surface imperfections in concrete slabs, producing a cleaner surface profile that resists dirt and debris accumulation. The formula is fast-setting, requires no special polishing procedures after application, and carries no odor, making it practical for occupied or enclosed spaces. It enhances the color, gloss, and clarity of polished concrete while reducing surface irregularities that complicate routine floor maintenance. Flooring contractors and concrete polishing crews apply it as part of a complete surface preparation and finishing workflow.
The 353640 is suited for both new concrete pours and existing concrete floors undergoing restoration or polishing upgrades. It is applied at the grout coat stage of the polishing process, where surface voids and micro-cracks are addressed before final polish passes. Application is appropriate when air, material, and floor temperatures are between 50 and 95 degrees F, relative humidity is below 85 percent, and the surface temperature is at least 5 degrees F above the dew point. The water-based formula is environmentally friendly and compatible with standard concrete polishing workflows.
Designed for use on new or existing concrete floors as part of a concrete polishing system workflow. Refer to the RUST-OLEUM Concrete Saver product line for compatible system components.
Application should be performed by flooring contractors or concrete polishing professionals familiar with surface preparation standards. Verify that slab temperature, air temperature, and relative humidity fall within the specified application window before starting. Do not apply over surfaces that are wet, frosted, or below 50 degrees F. Follow all facility ventilation and floor protection protocols during application and cure.
