The RUST-OLEUM 347427 is a heavily fibered, asphalt-based roof cement designed for wet or dry surface application. Blended with penetrating oils and plasticizing agents, it bonds to damp substrates where many standard roof cements fail. The formulation resists sags and spreads readily in cold conditions, making it suitable for emergency repairs in adverse weather. Use it to repair and restore flashings, seal blisters, fill cracks, patch punctures, or adhere new asphalt ply and modified bitumen membrane flashings. It also seals around vents, shingles, skylights, and chimneys. Licensed roofers and general contractors are the primary installers.
The 347427 is suited for both flat commercial roofing and shingled residential roofing. It handles a wide range of common defect types, from surface blisters and hairline cracks to larger punctures and failing flashings. The cold-weather workability makes it a practical option for year-round service calls. It ships in a 1-gallon container and is sold in a package quantity of 2 units per pack.
Suitable for use on flat commercial roofs and shingled residential roofs. Adheres to asphalt ply and modified bitumen membrane flashings. Designed as an OEM-style repair product for common roofing substrates including asphalt shingles and built-up roofing systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified roofer or contractor following applicable local building codes. Power or gas utilities are not a concern for this product, but installers should ensure stable footing and fall protection when working at height. Apply with a trowel or stiff brush; avoid overworking the material in warm conditions to prevent excessive thinning. Do not apply if standing water exceeds a light surface moisture unless the product is specifically being used in a wet-surface repair scenario.
