The RUST-OLEUM 332059 is a high-performance, two-component direct-to-metal (DTM) urethane mastic coating formulated for industrial and commercial metal protection. This 1-gallon unit contains the Light Tint Base in a satin finish and requires a separate activator to complete the system. The 9800 System is self-priming, high-solids, and high-build, delivering a sag-resistant film with strong color retention in moderate to severe industrial environments. It provides a two-year rust-proof guarantee and meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact. Industrial painters, maintenance crews, and coating applicators working on metal infrastructure rely on this product for long-cycle corrosion control.
The 332059 is designed for application on tanks, towers, structural steel, metal equipment, and similar surfaces exposed to aggressive industrial conditions. Its direct-to-metal formulation eliminates the need for a separate primer in most applications, though priming with the HS9300 System Epoxy Primer in red or gray is recommended for best results. The coating is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities, making it suitable for food-processing and industrial plant environments where incidental food contact is a concern.
Designed for use as part of the Rust-Oleum 9800 System DTM Urethane Mastic program; for best results, prime first with the HS9300 System Epoxy Primer. The activator component must be ordered separately. Suitable for metal substrates in moderate to severe industrial environments.
Application should be performed by trained industrial painters or maintenance professionals familiar with two-component coating systems. Follow the manufacturer mixing and pot-life requirements for the base and activator before application. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of loose rust or contaminants prior to coating. Adequate ventilation and appropriate respiratory protection are required when applying solvent-borne industrial coatings.
