The RUST-OLEUM 332057 is a direct-to-metal (DTM) urethane mastic coating engineered for industrial corrosion protection in moderate to severe service environments. This high-solids, high-build formula bonds directly to bare metal without a separate primer coat, delivering durable color retention and sag resistance in a single application. The 332057 ships as a two-component system — base and activator are ordered separately and mixed on site before application. It carries a two-year rust-proof guarantee and meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact, making it suitable for food processing and federally registered Canadian food facilities. Licensed industrial painters and maintenance coating applicators are the primary installers.
This coating is formulated for use on tanks, towers, structural steel, metal equipment, and similar substrates in industrial and commercial settings where aggressive corrosion resistance is required. The masstone tint base in a satin finish provides a neutral starting point for color-matched applications. Its self-priming capability reduces total system coat count, lowering labor time on large metal surface projects. When additional corrosion protection is needed, RUST-OLEUM recommends applying an HS9300 System Epoxy Primer in red or gray as a base coat before the 332057.
Designed for direct application to bare metal substrates including tanks, towers, and industrial metal equipment in moderate to severe corrosive environments. For enhanced corrosion protection, use with the HS9300 System Epoxy Primer as a base coat.
Application of two-component urethane coatings should be performed by trained industrial coating applicators familiar with mixing ratios and pot-life limitations. Ensure all metal surfaces are clean, dry, and free of mill scale, rust, oil, and loose coatings before application. Follow applicable OSHA and local safety regulations for ventilation and personal protective equipment when working with two-component urethane systems. Do not apply over incompatible primers or coatings without verifying chemical compatibility.
