The RUST-OLEUM 301239 is a penetrating concrete sealer designed to stop moisture intrusion, radon gas migration, and salt damage in concrete slabs and walls. Unlike surface-applied paints or topical sealers, the 301239 penetrates deep into the pore structure of concrete and chemically reacts with the minerals present, forming a silicate mineral matrix that seals from the inside out. The result is a treated surface that retains the natural look of the concrete with zero VOC emissions. Each gallon covers up to 200 square feet and is rated for both interior and exterior applications.
This sealer is suited for residential and light commercial concrete surfaces where moisture vapor, radon gas, or deicing salt exposure is a concern. Typical applications include basement floors and walls, garage slabs, foundation walls, and outdoor flatwork. Because it works through chemical reaction rather than surface film buildup, it does not alter the texture or appearance of the concrete. Licensed applicators and experienced contractors use it as part of moisture mitigation and vapor control scopes of work.
Designed for use on poured concrete slabs, concrete block, and masonry surfaces in interior and exterior settings where moisture control or radon mitigation is required.
Application is typically performed by a licensed contractor or experienced trade professional familiar with concrete moisture mitigation work. The concrete surface must be clean, dry, and free of existing sealers, coatings, or contaminants before application. Power down any HVAC or ventilation equipment drawing air from the treated space during application and allow adequate cure time before resuming normal use. Follow all local building codes and manufacturer application guidelines for proper coverage rate and reapplication requirements.
