The RUST-OLEUM 251286 is a single-component urethane modified acrylic floor coating formulated for application on concrete surfaces. It delivers a gloss finish in Safety Yellow and is engineered to withstand heavy foot traffic, lightweight rubber-wheeled handcarts, repeated mechanical abrasion, and repeated scrubbing with industrial solvents, cleaners, and scouring agents. Sold in a 1-gallon unit weighing 10 pounds, this coating suits both interior and exterior concrete applications where a durable, chemically resistant surface finish is required. Licensed contractors and facility maintenance professionals are the primary installers.
This coating is designed for use on interior and exterior concrete surfaces including decks, walkways, curbs, and parking areas. It is appropriate for commercial and industrial environments that see regular foot traffic and light wheeled equipment. The fast return-to-service profile makes it practical for facilities that cannot sustain extended downtime. Foot traffic is permitted within 24 hours of application and vehicle traffic within 72 hours. The product meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact, making it suitable for food-processing or food-adjacent facility floors.
Designed as an OEM-style direct-application coating for interior and exterior concrete floors. Compatible with RUST-OLEUM 200 Anti-Skid Floor Coating Additive for use in areas prone to oil or water spills.
Surface preparation is critical — concrete must be clean, dry, and free of oils, grease, and existing coatings before application. Apply using a roller, brush, or sprayer appropriate for floor coatings; follow local VOC regulations for ventilation requirements. Restrict foot traffic for a minimum of 24 hours and vehicle traffic for a minimum of 72 hours after application. Do not apply to surfaces where standing water is present or when ambient temperatures fall outside the product label range.
