The RUST-OLEUM 248274 is a water-based, two-component epoxy maintenance coating formulated for surfaces that demand tough, high-gloss protection and frequent wash-downs. This tint base gloss coating is part of the Sierra Performance S60 system, which pairs a tint base with a separately ordered activator. It delivers low VOCs, low HAPs, and low solvent odor, making it suitable for occupied facilities and food-adjacent environments. The cured film is impervious to moisture, easily cleaned, and meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact. Licensed painters and maintenance contractors are the primary installers of this product.
The S60 system is designed for commercial and industrial maintenance applications where sanitation and durability are critical — food processing facilities, commercial kitchens, locker rooms, breweries, and federally registered Canadian food facilities. This 1-gallon tint base unit is sold individually and must be paired with the corresponding S60 activator to form a complete two-component system. For maximum adhesion and performance, application over an S70 or S71 primer is recommended by the manufacturer.
Designed for use as part of the Rust-Oleum Sierra Performance S60 two-component epoxy system. Best performance is achieved when applied over an S70 or S71 primer with the corresponding S60 activator ordered separately. The Sierra S62 system covers satin finishes.
Application should be performed by qualified painters or maintenance professionals familiar with two-component epoxy coatings. Mix tint base with the activator according to the manufacturer's mixing instructions before application. Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and properly primed before coating. Follow all local ventilation and safety requirements when working with epoxy coatings in enclosed spaces.
