The formula carries low VOCs, low hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), and low solvent odor, making it suitable for occupied or food-adjacent facilities. Finished surfaces are impervious to moisture and resist the repeated chemical exposure common in commercial and industrial maintenance environments.
This coating is designed for commercial and industrial maintenance applications where surface durability and cleanability are critical. Typical installations include food processing facilities, commercial kitchens, healthcare environments, locker rooms, and institutional interiors where surfaces must be easily sanitized. It meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities. For maximum adhesion and performance, use over an S70 or S71 primer system prior to application. Satin finishes are covered under the Sierra S62 system; this SKU represents the S60 gloss system.
Designed for use as part of the Rust-Oleum Sierra Performance S60 system. Activator and S70 or S71 primers are ordered separately. Satin finish applications use the Sierra S62 system.
Application should be performed by qualified painting contractors or maintenance professionals familiar with two-component epoxy coatings. Mix the tint base and activator according to manufacturer guidelines before application, and observe the working pot life of the mixed product. Clean all surfaces thoroughly and allow to dry before coating; existing loose or contaminated surfaces must be removed. Follow local VOC regulations and facility safety protocols during application and drying.
