The RUST-OLEUM 204005 is a two-component, direct-to-metal (DTM) epoxy mastic coating formulated for high-performance corrosion protection on metal and concrete substrates. This 1-gallon unit ships as the base component in Safety Orange with a gloss finish. The 9100 System DTM Epoxy Mastic uses a 1:1 mixing ratio with a separately ordered activator, eliminating field measuring. A single coat delivers protection equivalent to multiple coats of standard competitive epoxies. The formula meets USDA requirements for incidental food contact and is accepted for use in federally registered Canadian food facilities. VOC content is under 340. Licensed coatings contractors and industrial painters are the typical applicators.

This coating is suited for industrial and commercial environments where long-term resistance to solvents, chemicals, abrasion, and impact is required. Floor-coating applications are a primary use case.
