Part of the RunTru by Trane product line, this unit is designed for straightforward installation and reliable heating performance in a 14.5-inch-wide cabinet. It features a tubular aluminized steel heat exchanger and an integrated furnace control board with a seven-segment LED display for setup, status, and diagnostic readout. The blower motor runs at 1,075 RPM with a 1/2 HP rating at 115 volts, 60 Hz, single-phase power. Licensed HVAC technicians install this furnace in new construction and replacement applications.
The A801X040AM3SC is suited for residential forced-air heating systems and is rated for approximately 3-ton cooling capacity, making it appropriate for homes in the 1,500 to 1,800 square foot range. Its multi-positional design supports upflow, downflow, and horizontal installation orientations, giving installers flexibility across a range of duct configurations.
