The ROYAL BUILDING PRODUCTS 35-1600 is a 4-inch PVC SDR35 gasket-joint 45-degree elbow designed for gravity-flow sewer and drain piping systems. SDR35 pipe and fittings meet the standard dimension ratio required for sewer service, offering a balance of wall thickness and flow capacity suited to underground drainage applications. The gasket joint allows for quick field assembly without solvent cement, using a rubber compression gasket seated in the bell end to create a watertight seal. This fitting is handled by plumbers and underground utility contractors working on residential and light commercial drain, waste, and vent or sewer lateral installations.
This 45-degree elbow is used to change direction in gravity sewer lines, storm drain runs, and underground drainage systems where a sweeping offset is needed. It is appropriate for residential sewer laterals, municipal service connections, and commercial site drainage where SDR35 PVC pipe is specified. The gasket-joint configuration is well suited to trench installations where thermal expansion, ground movement, or misalignment tolerance is a consideration.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 4-inch SDR35 PVC sewer and gravity-drain piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or underground utility contractor in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) for sewer lateral work. Confirm the trench is properly bedded and that the gasket and bell socket are clean and lubricated per the fitting manufacturer guidelines before joining. Inspect the rubber gasket for nicks or debris before assembly, as a compromised gasket is the leading cause of joint leakage in SDR35 systems. Do not use solvent cement on gasket-joint fittings.
