The ROTOR CLIP TI-62ST PA is a self-locking internal retaining ring designed to secure components within a bored housing without requiring a groove. Made from 1060/1090 grade steel with a phosphate finish, this ring seats inside a bore measuring 5/8 inch and provides a thrust load capacity of 46 pounds. The 0.01-inch ring thickness and tight tolerance of plus or minus 0.001 inch make it suitable for precision assemblies. It is installed by mechanical or industrial technicians working on shafts, housings, and assemblies requiring reliable axial retention.
This retaining ring is used in industrial and mechanical assemblies where a self-locking internal design is required to eliminate the need for a machined groove. Typical applications include electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and similar rotating or reciprocating equipment. The phosphate finish provides baseline corrosion resistance for moderate service environments. With a hardness of Rockwell 15N 84-86, the ring resists deformation under load in standard duty applications.
Designed as an OEM-style internal self-locking retaining ring for applications requiring a 5/8 inch bore diameter seating surface in steel housings or assemblies.
This ring is installed by qualified mechanical technicians using retaining ring pliers appropriate for internal self-locking style rings. De-energize and lock out all power sources and relieve any stored mechanical energy before disassembling the housing or shaft assembly. Ensure the bore surface is clean and free of burrs before seating the ring. Do not exceed the rated thrust load capacity of 46 pounds in service.
