The ROTOR CLIP TI-50ST PA is a self-locking internal retaining ring designed to secure components within a bored housing without requiring a groove machined into the bore wall. Manufactured from 1060/1090 carbon steel with a phosphate finish, this ring seats directly against the bore surface and resists axial displacement under load. It carries a thrust load capacity of 61 pounds and measures 0.01 inches in ring thickness with a tight tolerance of plus or minus 0.001 inches. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical technicians as well as industrial maintenance professionals install these rings during shaft and housing assembly operations.
This retaining ring is suited for applications requiring a reliable internal fastening element in bored housings with a 0.5-inch bore diameter. It is commonly used in motors, pumps, gearboxes, valves, and similar rotating or reciprocating assemblies found in residential and light commercial mechanical systems. The self-locking design eliminates the need for a snap ring groove, making it practical for retrofit and replacement scenarios where groove machining is not feasible. Each order is fulfilled in a quantity of one unit with a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
Designed as an OEM-style internal self-locking retaining ring for bored housings with a 0.5-inch inside diameter in mechanical assemblies such as motors, pumps, and valves.
Installation is typically performed by licensed mechanical, HVAC, or industrial maintenance technicians. De-energize and lock out all equipment before disassembling the housing or shaft assembly. Use the appropriate retaining ring pliers sized for internal rings to avoid deforming the ring during installation. Do not reuse a ring that has been removed, as the self-locking geometry may be compromised after the first installation.
