The ROTOR CLIP SH118ST PA B100 is an external retaining ring designed to secure components on a 1-3/16 inch (1.1875 inch decimal) diameter shaft. Manufactured from SAE 1060-1090 carbon steel with a phosphate finish, this ring seats into a 1.118 inch groove diameter and provides reliable axial retention in rotating and stationary shaft assemblies. With a ring thickness of 0.050 inches and a hardness rating of 47-52 HRC, it is built for demanding mechanical applications where consistent fastener performance is required. This package contains 100 rings sold as a single package quantity, meeting the 100-piece minimum order requirement.
External retaining rings of this type are commonly installed in industrial machinery, power transmission assemblies, pumps, gearboxes, and HVAC equipment where shaft-mounted components such as bearings, pulleys, and collars must be held in axial position. The phosphate finish provides mild corrosion resistance and surface lubricity, making it suitable for both indoor mechanical environments and light-duty service conditions. Machinists, millwrights, and mechanical contractors working on rotating equipment regularly specify this ring style for standard inch-series shaft applications.
Designed as a standard external retaining ring for inch-series shafts with a 1-3/16 inch shaft diameter. Suitable for use in any application requiring an external ring seated in a 1.118 inch groove diameter per SAE 1060-1090 and UNS G10600-G10900 fastener standards.
External retaining rings of this type are installed and removed using appropriate external snap ring pliers; use of incorrect tools can distort the ring and compromise axial retention. Always verify groove dimensions, tolerances, and shaft diameter against the ring specifications before installation. De-energize and lock out all equipment per applicable safety procedures before servicing any shaft assembly. Do not reuse rings that have been removed, as the material may have experienced stress deformation.
