The ROTOR CLIP SH112ST PA B100 is an external retaining ring designed for use on shafts with a 1-1/8 inch (1.1250 inch decimal) diameter. It seats into a precision groove machined into the shaft, providing a positive stop to retain bearings, gears, pulleys, or other components against axial movement. Manufactured from SAE 1060-1090 high-carbon steel with a phosphate finish, this ring delivers consistent hardness across a 47 to 52 HRC range. The groove diameter is 1.059 inches with a groove width of 0.056 inches and a ring thickness of 0.050 inches. Mechanical assemblers, millwrights, and maintenance technicians install this type of fastener across a wide range of industrial and mechanical assembly applications.
This external retaining ring is suited for shaft assemblies in industrial machinery, drive systems, conveyor equipment, pumps, and similar rotating or reciprocating equipment where a secure axial stop is required. It is appropriate for both original equipment assembly and field service replacement work. The phosphate finish provides a base layer of corrosion inhibition and improves lubricant retention in service environments where light oil or grease is present. The ring ships in a minimum order quantity of 100 units, making it appropriate for production assembly lines or stocking by MRO distributors and mechanical contractors.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production-grade external retaining ring for shaft assemblies requiring a 1-1/8 inch shaft diameter and a 1.059 inch groove diameter machined to standard tolerances.
External retaining rings of this type are installed and removed using snap ring pliers sized for external rings. Power down and de-energize all equipment before servicing any shaft assembly containing this ring. Ensure the shaft groove is free of burrs, debris, and corrosion before seating the ring to avoid incomplete engagement or ring deformation. Follow the equipment manufacturer's assembly specifications for lubrication and axial load requirements during installation.
