The ROTOR CLIP SH-93ST ZD is an external retaining ring designed to secure components on shafts in assemblies where axial retention is required. Manufactured from SAE 1060-1090 carbon steel with a yellow zinc dichromate finish, it fits a 15/16 inch (0.9375 inches) shaft diameter and seats in a groove measuring 0.882 inches in diameter and 0.046 inches wide. With a hardness rating of 47-53 HRC, this ring delivers reliable holding force in high-cycle or load-bearing applications. It is installed by machinists, maintenance technicians, and assemblers working on rotating or sliding shaft assemblies across industrial and commercial equipment.
This external retaining ring is suited for use on shafts in motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and similar mechanical assemblies found in HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, and general industrial machinery. The zinc dichromate finish provides corrosion resistance in moderate-exposure environments. It is a standard replacement or original-fit fastener used wherever an SAE-spec external snap ring of this shaft and groove size is specified. Minimum order quantity is 100 pieces, making it appropriate for service shops and production environments carrying common fastener sizes in stock.
Designed as an OEM-style external retaining ring for any shaft assembly specifying a 15/16 inch shaft diameter and a groove diameter of 0.882 inches per SAE 1060-1090 or UNS G10600-G10900 standards.
External retaining rings of this type are installed and removed using snap ring pliers sized for external rings. Always relieve shaft load and de-energize any powered equipment before servicing components retained by this ring. Inspect the groove dimensions against published tolerances before installation to ensure proper seating and axial retention. Do not reuse a ring that has been over-expanded or shows signs of deformation.
