The ROTOR CLIP SH-106SS B100 is an external retaining ring engineered to secure components on shafts in demanding mechanical assemblies. Manufactured from 15-7 grade 632 beryllium copper stainless steel with a zinc finish, this ring is built for environments where corrosion resistance and high hardness are required. It seats in a groove machined into a 1-1/16-inch (1.0625-inch decimal) shaft diameter and delivers reliable axial retention under load. Hardness is rated at 47-52 HRC, making it suitable for applications involving significant mechanical stress. Licensed trades and industrial maintenance technicians working with precision shafting and bearing assemblies rely on this ring type for repeatable, tool-installed retention without threading.
This external retaining ring is used in industrial, commercial, and OEM equipment applications where a 1-1/16-inch shaft requires secure axial component retention. It fits standard external groove profiles with a groove diameter of 0.998 inches and a groove width of 0.056 inches. Typical install scenarios include motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and other rotating shaft assemblies. The zinc finish provides additional corrosion protection in moderate-exposure environments. This ring meets AMS-5529 and UNS S15700 standards and is manufactured to ISO 13485:2015 quality system requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style external retaining ring for shafts with a 1-1/16-inch diameter and a standard external groove profile conforming to 0.998-inch groove diameter and 0.056-inch groove width dimensions.
External retaining rings of this type are installed by licensed millwrights, mechanical technicians, or trained maintenance personnel using proper external snap ring pliers sized for the ring diameter. Always de-energize and lock out the equipment before servicing shaft assemblies. Confirm groove dimensions match ring specifications before installation to prevent incomplete seating or ring failure under load. Do not over-spread the ring during installation, as stainless steel rings at high hardness ratings are more susceptible to fracture than standard carbon steel rings.
