The ROTOR CLIP RE-21ST PA is an external reinforced E-style retaining ring designed to secure components on a shaft by seating in a precision-machined groove. The ring fits a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch decimal) shaft diameter and seats in a groove with a 0.188 inch diameter. Manufactured from SAE 1060-1090 carbon steel with a phosphate finish for corrosion resistance, the ring measures 0.025 inches thick and carries a hardness rating of 66.5-71 HR30N. The three-prong reinforced E-style design provides a positive radial grip and resists axial displacement under load. Installed by maintenance technicians, mechanical assemblers, and industrial service professionals working on shafts, spindles, and rotating assemblies.
This retaining ring is suited for light-duty to medium-duty shaft retention applications in industrial equipment, HVAC fan assemblies, pump shafts, motors, and similar rotating machinery. The reinforced E-style geometry gives added resistance to rollout compared to standard E-rings, making it appropriate for applications where vibration or axial loading could dislodge a conventional ring. The phosphate finish provides mild corrosion protection in low-moisture environments. This product is sold in a minimum order quantity of 100 units per the manufacturer requirement.
Designed as an OEM-style external retaining ring for 7/32 inch shafts requiring a reinforced E-style groove-seated ring in industrial, HVAC, pump, and motor assembly applications.
Installation and removal require retaining ring pliers or a flat-blade tool sized for E-style rings — standard snap ring pliers used for circlips are not compatible with E-ring geometry. Shut down and de-energize all rotating equipment before servicing shaft-mounted components. Confirm groove diameter, groove width, and groove depth match ring specifications before installation to prevent improper seating or ring failure. Inspect the groove for burrs or damage prior to assembly.
