The ROTOR CLIP KG-75SJ is an internal spiral retaining ring designed to seat in a machined groove inside a bore and retain components axially within an assembly. Manufactured from AISI 302 stainless steel to the AMS-5866 and ISO 13485:2016 standards, this ring provides corrosion resistance suitable for demanding industrial and mechanical environments. It features a 0.75 inch bore diameter, a free outside diameter of 0.807 inches, a ring thickness of 0.035 inches, and a groove width of 0.039 inches with a groove depth of 0.023 inches. Machinists, maintenance technicians, and assembly professionals install this ring using standard spiral ring pliers where axial retention of shafts, bearings, or pins is required.
This retaining ring is used in applications where a conventional stamped ring cannot be inserted from the end of a shaft or bore, making the spiral design a preferred choice for blind-bore installations. It is suited for light-to-moderate load applications across industrial machinery, fluid handling equipment, and precision mechanical assemblies. With a thrust load capacity of 1,220 pounds at the groove safety factor and 3,790 pounds at the ring safety factor, it handles meaningful axial loads within its rated groove geometry. The minimum order quantity is 10 pieces per order.
Designed as an OEM-style internal spiral retaining ring for bores with a 0.75 inch nominal diameter machined to the groove specifications stated by the manufacturer: groove width 0.039 inches and groove depth 0.023 inches.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or mechanical technician using spiral retaining ring pliers sized for the bore diameter. Ensure the groove dimensions in the housing match the specified groove width and depth before installation, as an improperly machined groove can compromise the ring's rated load capacity. De-energize and lock out all equipment before servicing any assembly that requires retaining ring removal or replacement. Do not reuse a ring that has been removed, as deformation during extraction reduces holding reliability.
