The ROTOR CLIP HO-87SS MPS is a stainless steel internal snap retaining ring engineered for 7/8-inch bore diameter applications. Made from 15-7 Grade 632 stainless steel, it meets stringent military specifications and provides reliable axial retention inside a bored housing or bore. The ring measures 1.07mm (0.042 inches) in thickness and fits a groove width of 1.17mm (0.046 inches). Groove depth is 0.71mm. With a free outer diameter of 24.66mm, this ring seats securely in the groove and delivers a thrust load capacity of 2,080 pounds at the groove safety factor. Licensed trades and precision assembly technicians install this ring in applications where corrosion resistance and compliance to military spec are required.
This internal retaining ring is suited for use in hydraulic components, pneumatic cylinders, fluid handling assemblies, pump housings, and precision mechanical assemblies where a 7/8-inch bore is present. Its stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for wet, chemical-exposure, or high-cleanliness environments. The HO-87SS MPS complies with multiple Military Specifications including MS 16625-4037 through MS 16625-4187, making it a direct-fit option for defense, aerospace, and industrial procurement requiring documented compliance. It also conforms to AMS-5529, UNS S15700, and ISO 13485:2016.
Designed as an internal snap retaining ring for 7/8-inch bore diameter housings. Meets Military Specifications MS 16625-4037, MS 16625-4050, MS 16625-4062, MS 16625-4075, MS 16625-4087, MS 16625-4100, MS 16625-4125, MS 16625-4137, MS 16625-4150, MS 16625-4162, and MS 16625-4187. Suitable for any application calling out these MS specifications in a 7/8-inch bore.
Internal snap rings require internal snap ring pliers sized for the bore; use the correct tip diameter to avoid deforming the ring during installation. Deburr the groove and clean the bore before seating the ring to ensure full groove engagement and rated load capacity. Do not reuse a ring that has been over-expanded or shows signs of set, cracking, or deformation. Follow applicable federal and military assembly standards when installing in defense or aerospace applications.
