Made from 1060/1090 grade spring steel with a zinc finish, this ring fits a 0.500 inch bore diameter and provides reliable axial retention in assemblies subject to thrust loads. The ring measures 0.035 inches thick and seats in a groove 0.039 inches wide and 0.015 inches deep. Thrust load capacity is rated at 2,010 pounds by ring safety factor and 510 pounds by groove safety factor, making it suitable for moderate-load industrial and mechanical applications. Machinists, maintenance technicians, and assembly professionals install this type of retaining ring as a standard fastening element.
This internal retaining ring is used in bored housings across a range of mechanical assemblies including pumps, gearboxes, motors, and general industrial equipment.
