The ROTOR CLIP HO-43SS B100 is a stainless steel internal snap retaining ring designed to seat in a machined groove inside a bore to retain components axially on a shaft or within a housing. Built from 15-7 Grade 632 stainless steel and conforming to AMS-5529, UNS S15700, and ISO 13485:2016, this ring delivers strong corrosion resistance and high hardness (Rockwell 30N 63-69.5). The 7/16 inch bore diameter ring measures 0.482 inches free outer diameter with a ring thickness of 0.025 inches. Thrust load capacity reaches 1,238 pounds at the ring safety factor and 440 pounds at the groove safety factor, making it well suited for demanding mechanical assemblies.
This internal retaining ring is used in precision mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assemblies where a reliable axial stop is needed inside a bored housing. Typical applications include light industrial machinery, fluid handling equipment, and instrumentation. The stainless steel material and compliance with ISO 13485:2016 make it appropriate for environments requiring corrosion resistance or hygienic-grade hardware. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians commonly specify this ring when rebuilding subassemblies or manufacturing new bored-housing components.
Designed as an OEM-style internal snap retaining ring for bored housings with a 7/16 inch bore diameter requiring a 0.029 inch wide groove and 0.012 inch groove depth per standard retaining ring groove specifications.
Installation and removal of internal snap retaining rings requires proper snap ring pliers sized for internal rings. Always power down and de-energize or depressurize the assembly before servicing. Inspect the bore groove for burrs or damage before seating the ring to ensure full groove engagement. Refer to applicable machinery safety standards and the equipment manufacturer's service documentation during installation.
