The ROTOR CLIP HO-250ST PA is a heavy-duty internal snap retaining ring designed to secure components within a 2.5-inch bore. Manufactured from 1060/1090 spring steel with a phosphate finish, this ring provides reliable axial retention in high-load assemblies. The ring measures 0.078 inches thick with a free outer diameter of 2.78 inches, and fits a groove width of 0.086 inches at a depth of 0.074 inches. With a Rockwell C hardness of 47-52 and groove safety factor thrust load capacity of 15,650 pounds, it is built for demanding mechanical applications. Licensed trades and mechanical assemblers install this ring as part of shaft and housing retention systems.
This internal retaining ring is suited for use in bore housings across a wide range of industrial, mechanical, and trade-service applications. Typical installations include electric motors, gear assemblies, pumps, and other rotating equipment where axial load retention is required inside a housing or bore. It is appropriate for both original equipment assembly and replacement service work. The phosphate finish provides baseline corrosion resistance in moderate-duty environments.

Internal snap retaining rings require snap ring pliers sized for internal installation. De-energize and lock out all equipment before removing or installing retaining rings. Verify groove dimensions match the ring specifications before installation, as an oversized or undersized groove will compromise retention capacity. Do not reuse rings that have been removed, as the spring tension may be compromised.
