The ROTOR CLIP HO-150ST PA is a heavy-duty internal snap retaining ring designed to secure components within a bored housing. Manufactured from spring steel (grade 1060/1090) with a phosphate finish, this ring seats into a machined internal groove to resist axial movement of shafts, bearings, and similar retained parts. The ring is rated for a thrust load capacity of 10,708 pounds at the ring safety factor and 6,000 pounds at the groove safety factor, making it well-suited for demanding mechanical assemblies. Ring thickness is 0.05 inches with a tight tolerance of plus or minus 0.002 inches. Licensed machinists, maintenance technicians, and mechanical assemblers are the typical installers.
This internal retaining ring fits a 1.5-inch bore diameter application. The free outside diameter measures 1.66 inches. The groove it seats into is 0.056 inches wide and 0.047 inches deep, with a groove width tolerance of 0.000 to 0.004 inches and a groove diameter tolerance of minus 0.004 to plus 0.004 inches. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 100 units, making it appropriate for production-line assembly operations, maintenance stocking programs, or OEM applications requiring consistent, repeatable fastening solutions.
Designed as an OEM-style internal snap ring for machined bores requiring a 1.5-inch bore diameter groove with 0.056-inch groove width and 0.047-inch groove depth. Consult your assembly drawings to confirm groove dimensions before installation.
Internal snap retaining rings are installed by licensed machinists or mechanical assemblers using internal snap ring pliers sized for the ring diameter. Power down and de-energize any equipment before disassembly or ring installation. Verify that the groove is free of burrs, debris, and dimensional deviations before seating the ring. Do not over-expand the ring during installation, as exceeding elastic limits will compromise retention force.
