The ROTOR CLIP HO-150ST MCD is a heavy-duty internal snap retaining ring designed for securing components within a 1.5-inch bore. Manufactured from SAE 1060-1090 carbon steel with a cadmium finish, this ring delivers corrosion resistance and long service life in demanding mechanical assemblies. Ring thickness measures 1.27mm (0.05 inches), and groove width is 1.42mm (0.056 inches). The ring meets multiple Military Specifications and is hardened to Rockwell C 47-52, making it suitable for applications where load capacity and dimensional precision are critical. Thrust load capacity reaches 10,708 pounds at the ring safety factor and 6,000 pounds at the groove safety factor.
This internal retaining ring is used in industrial machinery, fluid power assemblies, aerospace ground support equipment, and mechanical drive systems where a positive internal bore retention method is required. It is well suited for OEM production lines and MRO replacement applications across defense, manufacturing, and heavy equipment sectors. The cadmium finish provides added protection in environments with moderate moisture exposure. Minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per order.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production-use internal retaining ring for 1.5-inch bore housings requiring compliance with MS 16625 Military Specifications including MS 16625-1025, MS 16625-1050, MS 16625-1062, MS 16625-1075, MS 16625-1087, MS 16625-1100, MS 16625-1125, MS 16625-1137, MS 16625-1150, MS 16625-1162, and MS 16625-1187.
Internal snap retaining rings of this type are installed by machinists, millwrights, and mechanical assembly technicians using internal snap ring pliers sized for the bore diameter. Always verify groove diameter tolerance (-0.004 to +0.004 inches) and groove width tolerance (0.000 to 0.004 inches) against the housing before installation. De-energize or lock out all mechanical and hydraulic energy sources before servicing any assembly containing retaining rings. Do not reuse rings that have been removed, as repeated installation can compromise the spring tension and retention integrity.
