The ROTOR CLIP E-37ST PA B100 is an external E-style retaining ring designed to secure components on 3/8-inch shafts. Stamped from SAE 1060-1090 steel and heat-treated to a hardness of 37-43 HRC, this ring delivers reliable axial retention in moderate to demanding applications. The phosphate finish provides baseline corrosion resistance and improves lubricant retention. With a groove diameter of 0.303 inches and a ring thickness of 0.035 inches, the ring is engineered for precise fit in standard E-ring grooves. This part is installed by mechanical assemblers, maintenance technicians, and field service professionals working with shafted components across industrial and commercial equipment.
This retaining ring is suited for use on 3/8-inch diameter shafts where an external E-style ring is the specified fastener. The three-prong E-ring design allows for tool-free or needle-nose installation and removal, making it practical in tight assemblies. Typical applications include small motors, pump shafts, gearboxes, conveyor components, and any mechanism requiring a low-profile external retaining feature. The phosphate finish is appropriate for light-duty corrosive environments or applications where a secondary lubricant or coating will be applied.
Designed as an OEM-style external E-style retaining ring for 3/8-inch shafts with a groove diameter of 0.303 inches, conforming to SAE 1060-1090 and UNS G10600-G10900 fastener standards.
Install and remove E-style retaining rings using appropriate external ring pliers or needle-nose pliers to avoid deforming the prongs or ring body. Ensure the shaft groove is clean and free of burrs before seating the ring. Always de-energize and lock out equipment before servicing any shafted component. Do not reuse a ring that has been removed, as repeated installation cycles can reduce retention force.
