The ROTOR CLIP E-37SS B100 is an external E style retaining ring manufactured from 15-7 stainless steel (Grade 632) to AMS-5529 and UNS S15700 standards. Designed to seat in a machined external groove on a shaft, the ring retains components axially without requiring threads, clips, or secondary fasteners. It fits a 3/8 inch shaft diameter with a groove diameter of 0.303 inches. Hardness runs 37-43 HRC, giving the ring reliable spring force and resistance to deformation under load. Maintenance technicians and millwrights install this type of ring in rotating assemblies, pumps, motors, and other precision-shaft applications where a compact, corrosion-resistant retaining solution is required.
This retaining ring is suited for industrial and mechanical assemblies where stainless steel is specified for corrosion resistance or compatibility with washdown, wet, or chemically active environments. Typical applications include pump shafts, motor shafts, valve stems, and small-bore rotating components in HVAC, plumbing, and pool equipment. The three-prong E style profile allows tool-free or minimal-tool installation with standard retaining ring pliers. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.
Designed as a standard external E style retaining ring for 3/8 inch diameter shafts with a groove diameter of 0.303 inches and groove width of 0.039 inches. Confirm groove dimensions against engineering drawings before installation; this ring does not meet military specifications.
Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified technician using retaining ring pliers sized for E style rings. Relieve all load and de-energize or lock out the equipment before servicing any shaft assembly. Inspect the shaft groove for burrs or damage that could affect seating depth or ring retention. Do not over-spread the ring during installation, as stainless steel rings can crack if deflected beyond design limits.
