The ROTOR CLIP DSH-50ST PD is an external retaining ring designed for shaft-mounted applications requiring a secure, low-profile axial fastener. Made from DIN 17221 and 17223 spring steel with a phosphate finish, this ring seats into a machined groove on the shaft to retain components against axial movement. It has a 50 mm shaft diameter, a 47 mm groove diameter, and a ring thickness of 2.00 mm. The phosphate finish provides corrosion resistance during storage and moderate service conditions. Licensed technicians, mechanical assemblers, and maintenance professionals install this type of ring in rotating and static shaft assemblies across industrial and OEM applications.
This external retaining ring is suited for metric shaft assemblies in industrial machinery, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and similar equipment where reliable axial retention is required. It conforms to DIN 471 and meets ISO 13485:2015 standards, making it appropriate for applications with documented quality requirements. The metric dimensioning and DIN 471 standard make it a direct fit for European-specification equipment and machinery designed to metric tolerances. Packages contain 5 rings per unit with a minimum order quantity of 1.
Designed as a DIN 471-compliant external retaining ring for 50 mm metric shafts with a machined groove conforming to DIN 471 groove geometry specifications.
External retaining rings of this type are installed and removed by mechanical assemblers or maintenance technicians using external snap ring pliers matched to the ring lug holes. Power down and de-energize any equipment before servicing shaft assemblies. Inspect the shaft groove for burrs, wear, or damage before seating the ring to ensure full groove engagement. Rings should not be over-expanded during installation as this can compromise spring tension and retention force.
