The ROTOR CLIP DHO-42ST PD is a metric internal snap retaining ring designed for 42mm bore diameter applications. It seats into a precision-machined internal groove to axially locate and retain shafts, bearings, or other components within a housing. The ring is manufactured from spring steel to DIN I7221 and I7223 material grades and features a phosphate finish for corrosion resistance. At 1.75mm ring thickness, it fits a groove width of 1.85mm and a groove depth of 1.3mm. Installation and removal are handled by licensed mechanical or maintenance technicians using standard snap ring pliers.
This retaining ring is suited for industrial, mechanical, and trade applications requiring a reliable internal bore retention solution. With a nominal size of 44.5mm and a groove diameter tolerance of 0.25mm, it is appropriate for precision assemblies in pumps, motors, gear housings, and similar equipment. The thrust load capacity of 28.40 kN at the groove and 44.7 kN at the ring makes it suitable for moderate-to-high axial load scenarios.
Designed as a DIN 472-compliant metric internal snap retaining ring for 42mm bore diameter housings requiring an internal groove retention solution.
Installation and removal of internal snap rings should be performed by qualified mechanical technicians using the correct size internal snap ring pliers to avoid ring distortion or uncontrolled release. Always de-energize and lock out equipment before servicing any assembly containing retaining rings. Confirm groove dimensions match the ring specifications before installation. Never reuse a snap ring that has been overexpanded or shows visible deformation.
