The ROSSLARE at-erc-26a-3001 is a 26-bit proximity access card in a thick clamshell format, sold in a 25-card pack. Each card contains an embedded RFID integrated circuit and a tuned antenna that communicates passively with compatible card readers. The card carries no internal battery. It harvests energy from the electromagnetic field produced by the reader, allowing it to transmit its stored credential data at close range. Installation is handled by access control technicians integrating the cards into a broader electronic access system.
These cards are suited for commercial and light industrial access control deployments where a standard credit-card-sized, thick-profile clamshell credential is required. The clamshell housing provides added durability compared to thin ISO-format cards, making them appropriate for environments where cards are handled frequently or exposed to moderate wear. The pack quantity of 25 supports initial site provisioning or ongoing credential management for small to mid-size installations.
Designed as an OEM-style credential for use with standard 26-bit Wiegand proximity card readers in commercial electronic access control systems.
Proximity cards are enrolled and programmed by access control technicians using the applicable access control management software before deployment. No tools are required to issue a card, but the access control panel and reader infrastructure should be fully commissioned before credential enrollment. Cards should be kept away from strong magnetic fields and high-heat environments that could affect RFID performance. Credential programming and access level assignments should follow the site security policy and applicable local codes.
