The ROSSLARE ac-825ip is a 4-door networked access controller designed for multi-door access management in commercial and institutional security installations. The unit ships with one onboard expansion slot and supports up to 16 additional expansion boards via OSDP, allowing a single ac-825ip to control up to 72 doors in larger deployments. Each unit manages up to 300,000 users and stores up to 500,000 event log entries using a first-in, first-out buffer. Communication is secured with AES 128-bit encryption over TCP/IP. Licensed security integrators and access control technicians are the primary installers.
The ac-825ip is suited for commercial buildings, campuses, and facilities requiring centralized, networked door access management. It handles up to 4 doors (readers) simultaneously in its base configuration, with each door supporting 2 inputs and 1 output. Four auxiliary inputs and two auxiliary outputs are available onboard for additional device integration. The onboard battery charger supports a 7 Ah, 12-volt lead acid battery, sold separately, making the unit compatible with backup power configurations during outages.
Designed for use with OSDP-compatible expansion boards to extend door control capacity. Battery backup requires a 7 Ah, 12-volt lead acid battery, sold separately. Consult ROSSLARE documentation for verified reader and expansion board compatibility.
Installation should be performed by a licensed security or low-voltage systems technician familiar with access control wiring and network configuration. Power down all connected hardware before making wiring connections to readers, inputs, or outputs. Network configuration requires a static IP or DHCP reservation on the local network for reliable controller communication. Follow local low-voltage and security system codes applicable to the jurisdiction.
