The ROMAC 136-111042 is a single strap pipe saddle constructed from stainless steel, designed for tapping branch connections on steel or cast iron pipe. It fits 10 inch pipe with an outside diameter range of 10.70 inches to 11.10 inches and accepts a 1 inch female iron pipe thread (FIPT) tap outlet. The saddle is rated to 350 psi and conforms to AWWA C-800 standards. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers and water distribution technicians working on municipal, industrial, or commercial piping systems where a reliable branch connection is required.
This saddle is suited for water distribution and service line applications on steel or cast iron mains. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion in buried or exposed environments. It is commonly used in municipal water systems, industrial facilities, and commercial plumbing where a tapped branch outlet must be added to an existing main without interrupting the full pipe run. The FIPT outlet accommodates standard threaded service valves and fittings.
Designed for use on 10 inch steel or cast iron pipe with an outside diameter between 10.70 inches and 11.10 inches. The 1 inch FIPT outlet is compatible with standard threaded service valves and corporation stops used in water distribution systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or certified water distribution technician in accordance with local codes and AWWA guidelines. Isolate and depressurize the line before drilling or tapping whenever possible, or use a wet-tap procedure with appropriate equipment when the main must remain in service. Torque the strap nuts evenly to seat the gasket uniformly around the pipe OD. Verify the full OD of the pipe falls within the 10.70 inch to 11.10 inch range before installation.
