The ROBROY PRHELB-1/2X90 is a factory bent, standard radius 90-degree elbow designed for PVC-coated rigid steel conduit systems. Built from steel with a 2 mil red urethane coated interior and a 40 mil gray PVC coated exterior, it provides corrosion resistance suited to industrial and harsh-environment electrical installations. The 1/2 inch trade size elbow features a 4.25 inch bend radius and external threaded ends for secure, continuous connections. Factory bending eliminates field bending time, reduces material waste, and delivers consistent, accurate geometry on every unit. Licensed electricians and conduit installers working in corrosive or wet locations are the primary installers.
This elbow is used in rigid metal conduit (RMC) systems where PVC-coated conduit is specified for corrosion protection. Typical applications include chemical processing facilities, wastewater treatment plants, pulp and paper mills, coastal installations, and other environments where standard galvanized rigid conduit is insufficient. The 90-degree configuration handles standard directional changes in conduit runs. The 1/2 inch trade size fits the most common conduit diameter used in branch circuit and control wiring. Black color-coded plastic thread protector caps identify the conduit size at a glance during staging and installation.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch trade size PVC-coated rigid metal conduit systems. Listed under UL 6, CSA C22.2, and ETL for installations in the United States and Canada. Manufactured to ISO 9001 applicable standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the conduit run before beginning work. Use PVC-coated conduit tools and fittings specifically rated for coated systems to avoid damaging the exterior coating during assembly. Do not use pipe wrenches or tools that will cut or abrade the PVC coating, as coating damage can void listings and compromise corrosion protection at the fitting.
