The ROBROY PRHCONDUIT-3-1/2 is a PVC coated rigid metal conduit in 3-1/2 inch trade size, manufactured from hot-dip galvanized steel. Each 10-foot length features a 2 mil red urethane interior coating, a 40 mil gray PVC exterior coating over hot-galvanized steel, and a clear urethane coated thread finish. The conduit ships with a black color-coded thread protector cap for quick trade-size identification. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this conduit in corrosive and mechanically demanding environments where standard rigid steel conduit would be insufficient. It is designed to protect conductors from mechanical damage and corrosive attack while maintaining electrical continuity across assembled joints.
This conduit is suited for industrial, commercial, and heavy-duty electrical installations where exposure to moisture, chemicals, or physical impact is a concern. The 40 mil PVC exterior provides a robust barrier against corrosive environments including wastewater facilities, chemical plants, food processing, marine, and outdoor industrial settings. The 3-1/2 inch trade size accommodates larger conductor bundles in main feeder and branch circuit runs. It is sold individually by the 10-foot length, with a standard package quantity of 190 feet available for larger project needs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit rigid metal conduit for 3-1/2 inch trade-size electrical conduit systems. Compatible with standard 3-1/2 inch threaded rigid conduit fittings, couplings, and PVC coated conduit accessories meeting UL 6 and CSA C22.2 requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the work area before beginning conduit work. Use only PVC coated fittings and couplings to maintain the integrity of the corrosion-resistant system; cutting or abrading the PVC coating at connections must be repaired with compatible coating repair compound per manufacturer guidelines. Support spacing and fastening methods should comply with NEC Article 344 for rigid metal conduit.
