The ROBROY PRHCONDUIT-2 is a PVC coated rigid metal conduit designed to protect electrical conductors from mechanical damage and corrosive attack while maintaining electrical continuity across assembled joints. Built on a hot-dip galvanized steel base, this conduit features a 2 mil red urethane interior coating, a 40 mil gray PVC exterior coating, and a clear urethane coated thread finish. The trade size 2 conduit measures 10 feet in length with an inner diameter of 2.083 inches and an outer diameter of 2.455 inches. It ships with color-coded blue thread protector caps for quick conduit size identification on the job site. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers.
This conduit is suited for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure installations where conductors must be shielded from both physical impact and chemical or moisture-related corrosion. The dual-layer coating system makes it appropriate for wet locations, underground runs, and corrosive environments where standard galvanized rigid metal conduit would degrade over time. The threaded end style allows direct connection to standard rigid conduit fittings. It is listed for use in Canada and the United States and carries approvals from UL, ETL, and CSA. The standard package quantity is 610 feet for larger project procurement.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-stocking rigid metal conduit in trade size 2 inch. Compatible with standard threaded rigid conduit fittings, couplings, and conduit bodies designed for 2 inch rigid metal conduit per applicable NEC and CSA electrical codes.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the work area before beginning any conduit installation or modification. Use conduit benders, threading tools, and cutting equipment appropriate for rigid metal conduit; avoid cutting or abrading the PVC coating beyond the thread area without recoating exposed steel. Do not use the conduit as a ground path substitute where the coating integrity at fittings has not been verified per installation instructions.
