The ROBROY PRHCONDUIT-1-1/4 is a PVC coated rigid metal conduit in 1-1/4 inch trade size, manufactured from hot-dipped galvanized steel. Each 10-foot length features a dual-layer protective finish: 2 mil red urethane on the interior and 40 mil gray PVC on the exterior over hot galvanized steel. Threaded ends allow direct connection to standard threaded fittings and bodies. This conduit is designed to protect electrical conductors from mechanical damage and corrosive attack while maintaining electrical continuity across assembled joints. It is installed by licensed electricians in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure applications where both impact resistance and corrosion protection are required.
This conduit is suited for use in corrosive environments including chemical processing facilities, wastewater treatment plants, food processing facilities, marine installations, and outdoor industrial settings. The 40 mil gray PVC exterior coating provides a robust barrier against moisture, chemicals, and physical abrasion. The red urethane interior coating protects the galvanized bore from corrosive buildup over time. Color-coded red thread protector caps allow quick on-site identification of conduit trade size during installation and staging. The REDH2OT series from ROBROY Industries is manufactured in the USA.
Designed for use with standard 1-1/4 inch trade size rigid metal conduit fittings, couplings, and bodies compatible with PVC coated rigid conduit systems. Part of the ROBROY PRCONDUIT series (REDH2OT product line). Consult the manufacturer for compatible PVC coated fittings to maintain coating integrity across the full assembly.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the work area before beginning conduit installation. Use only PVC coated rigid conduit fittings and tools designed for coated conduit to avoid damaging the exterior PVC jacket during bending, reaming, or threading operations. Damaged coating areas should be repaired with compatible touch-up compound per the manufacturer's instructions to preserve corrosion protection.
