The ROBROY PRHCONDUIT-1-1/2 is a PVC coated rigid metal conduit rated for trade size 1-1/2 inch, supplied in 10-foot lengths with threaded ends. The steel core is hot-dip galvanized, then coated with a 2 mil red urethane interior finish and a 40 mil gray PVC exterior coating, delivering dual-layer protection against corrosion and mechanical damage. Threaded ends receive a clear urethane coating to protect the threads during storage and installation. A black color-coded thread protector cap is included for quick trade-size identification on the job. This conduit is UL Listed for use in the US and Canada, ETL Listed, and meets UL 6 and CSA C22.2 standards. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this product in industrial and commercial wiring systems.
The PRHCONDUIT-1-1/2 is suited for installations where conductors must be protected from both mechanical damage and corrosive environments. The heavy-wall PVC exterior coating makes it appropriate for direct burial, concrete encasement, exposed outdoor runs, and chemical or wet industrial environments where standard galvanized rigid conduit would be vulnerable to corrosive attack. The threaded end style allows standard rigid conduit fittings to be used throughout the assembly, maintaining electrical continuity across all assembled joints. Standard packaging is 910 feet per bundle, making it practical for large commercial or industrial projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-stock rigid metal conduit for trade size 1-1/2 inch applications, compatible with standard threaded rigid conduit fittings, couplings, and connectors conforming to UL 6 and CSA C22.2 requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the work area before beginning conduit installation. Use standard rigid conduit threading tools and dies rated for steel conduit; apply listed conduit thread compound or tape only at fitting interfaces to preserve the protective coatings. Avoid cutting or abrading the PVC exterior coating during bending or fitting assembly, as damage to the coating can compromise corrosion protection in harsh environments.
