The ROBERT BOSCH TOOL GROUP NKST10 is a short auger bit engineered for wood boring in applications where nails are a constant hazard. Part of the Daredevil Nailkiller line, this bit features dual cutting edges that deliver balanced drilling and easier nail cutting in a single pass. The open-faced flute design improves chip removal to keep the bit moving efficiently through material. A reinforced tip withstands repeated nail hits, and the reamer edge improves entry and exit-hole quality. At 5/8 inch in diameter with a 7/16 inch shank, it is sized for standard hex-chuck drills and right-angle drills used in framing and rough-in work.
This bit is suited for residential and light commercial rough framing, remodeling, and retrofit drilling where wood members may contain embedded nails, staples, or other fasteners. Electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians running pipe or conduit through framed walls and floors will find this bit useful when clean, fast penetration through nail-laden lumber is required. The short 7.5-inch overall length makes it manageable in tight stud bays and between joists.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use short auger bit compatible with standard 7/16 inch hex-chuck drills, right-angle drills, and impact-rated drill drivers used in wood framing and rough-in trade work.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson using a drill rated for auger bits at the appropriate torque and speed. Always ensure the workpiece is secured before drilling. Inspect the bit tip before each use and retire the bit if the reinforced tip or cutting edges show cracking or deformation. Follow applicable NEC, IPC, or IFGC clearance requirements when boring through structural members for utility rough-in.
