The ROBERT BOSCH TOOL GROUP GKF125CEN is a variable speed palm router built for routing and trimming applications in woodworking and finish carpentry. It runs on a 7-amp motor rated at 1.25 HP maximum and delivers speeds from 16,000 to 35,000 RPM through an adjustable dial, allowing the operator to match spindle speed to the material and bit in use. Soft start circuitry reduces startup torque, and constant response circuitry monitors and maintains speed under load. The 360-degree non-split aluminum base housing keeps the tool rigid during operation. The unit weighs 5.6 pounds.
This palm router is suited for residential and light commercial woodworking tasks including edge profiling, dado cutting, template routing, and laminate trimming. The compact form factor and finger support pockets make it practical for one-handed control on smaller workpieces. It accepts bits up to 1-5/16 inches wide, covering the most common straight, spiral, and profile bit profiles used in trim and cabinet work. The depth adjustment system provides repeatable, precise depth settings with scales in both inches and metric, useful when following shop drawings in either measurement system.
Designed as an OEM palm router unit compatible with standard 1/4-inch shank router bits and accessories typical of compact trim router applications.
Palm routers are typically set up by woodworkers, finish carpenters, and cabinet installers. Before changing bits or adjusting depth, disconnect the tool from the power source. Use the spindle lock to secure the collet during bit installation and ensure the collet nut is fully seated and tightened before operation. Always allow the motor to reach full speed before engaging the workpiece.
