The ROBBJACK TS-301-03 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built in the TS-301 stub-length series, it features a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/16 inch length of cut, and a 1/8 inch shank diameter with an overall length of 1.5 inches. The three-flute geometry with a 30-degree spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining rigidity in short-reach setups. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC toolroom technicians working in close-tolerance milling operations.
The TS-301-03 is suited for slotting, profiling, and light plunge milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a compact stub-length tool reduces deflection. Its uncoated solid carbide construction makes it appropriate for applications where base carbide substrate is preferred or where the operator applies cutting fluid directly. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC milling center spindles. This tool is well matched to high-speed spindle applications requiring tight diameter tolerances in small-diameter work.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide stub end mill for use in standard 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting right-hand cut tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully in a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the cut.
